Emerald Green is a blend of certified FD & C Blue # 1 dye and FD& C Yellow #5 Dye. Emerald Green can be used in a wide variety of applications and products - from coloring cosmetics to food, to dying textiles like wool, and even art.

Not all uses of Emerald Green come under the jurisdiction of the FDA, depending on the type of application and use, however many uses of the blend will. If you are using the product in Food, Drugs, or Cosmetics, then you will need to familiarize yourself with all of the FDA regulations for colors, and use the Emerald Green dye accordingly, in your product(s).

Our Emerald Green blend is made up of already certified colors and can be used in accordance with FDA / Food, Drugs & Cosmetic coloring guidelines, and always in amounts consistent with current regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Color: Colors will vary depending on the amount you use. Our color representation on the website will also vary depending on your monitor settings. Emerald Green is blend of concentrated dye powder, and produces a well known classic dark emerald green color. Of course, shades will vary depending on the amount of dye used. Experiment with different concentrations, and blends with other colorants to get just the exact color you desire.

Physical Form: A brownish green powder. * Dyes in the dry powder form have a completely different look than when dispersed in water or your products. After dilution you can achieve any number of green hues and shades and colors.

Storage: Always keep product stored in air tight containers away from humidity, and at room temperature.

Shelf Life: Indefinite if stored properly in a sealed airtight container.

We always suggest you protect hands, using latex or nitrile gloves, and always protect the surfaces you are working on, as these colors are very concentrated and will stain counter tops, wood, clothing. Using too much dye than necessary may cause staining while manufacturing and when final product is used. Always test to use the optimal amount.
